The law firm Ulises Cabrera, in collaboration with the Vida Azul Foundation, held a coastal clean-up on Saturday 12 June at Gübia Beach.
Ulises Cabrera enlisted the support of 42 volunteers in an initiative aimed at fostering a culture of environmental awareness among its employees.
The activity collected 515 pounds of rubbish, containing mainly plastic and foam.
The volunteers spent three intense hours working and learning about the impact of litter on our oceans. The Foundation gave a technical talk explaining why litter was washed up on the beach via the rivers and especially when there is heavy rainfall.
The partners of the firm Ulises Cabrera confirmed their support for this type of initiative and a commitment to motivate a change of habits both in the homes of their collaborators and in the operations of their companies.
